Both the Box Office and the Venue are closed from Monday 23rd December to Monday 30th December. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Play your part and support live music-making now, and for generations to come.

We’re committed to providing the best in live music locally, and dedicated to supporting tomorrow’s young musicians.

But we can’t do it alone.

The income we receive from tickets and events only covers half of what we need to run the Centre and all of our artistic and learning programmes – as a registered charity, 30% of our income comes from fundraising every year. Our live concerts and events are only possible through the generous support of our funders, audiences, Friends, Angels, businesses and grant-making trusts. And our Creative Learning Programme for 5,000 children a year is almost entirely funded through donations.

We have to raise around £250,000 a year to deliver all of our programmes and activities. By donating, you enable us to share music of the highest quality with the widest possible audience, through accessible ticket prices, outreach schemes and education projects for young people.

For 25 years, we’ve been a hive of musical activity. Since opening in 1997:

  • We’ve welcomed over 60,000 people to take part in music-making from across the region.
  • We’ve delivered over 150 events a year; from performances by world-class musicians to community choirs and schools concerts.
  • We’ve provided a home for young musicians to rehearse every week and a professional stage for young artists to perform on and refine their craft.
  • We’ve built up a Creative Learning Programme which now reaches 5,000 young people a year through 30 projects; from drumming workshops to piano masterclasses, live jazz in primary schools to our Zone Club for learning disabled young adults.

Support live music making today and start making a difference to people’s lives.
