Be part of our community choir and sing on the WMC stage!
WMC Chorus is a group of enthusiastic singers who come together for special projects to rehearse and perform on the WMC stage – all brought together through a love of music.
Our community choir welcomes all Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass singers from age 12 and upwards, of all singing abilities. With repertoire ranging from classical to folk and jazz, the choir are joined by professional ensembles and musicians to create memorable and unique performance opportunities. Previous projects have included work with VOCES8 and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.

Add me to the mailing listHow do I take part in WMC Chorus projects?
No – this is a ‘project’ choir, which we recruit singers for in advance of each concert (2 per year). There will then be a short run of rehearsals (usually 4 or 5) before a concert.
The choir for each project is recruited in advance on a first-come, first-served application basis, after registration opens.
It depends on the project, but there are usually 4 or 5 evening rehearsals before the final performance.
Information about the next project and how to sign up will be posted on this page. You can also join our WMC Chorus mailing list so you can hear by email.
There is no minimum standard requirement to join the choir or an audition! It is useful if you have experience singing with a choir and can read music, but this is not required.
Yes, there is a participation fee which varies according to the projects.
