Both the Box Office and the Venue are closed from Monday 23rd December to Monday 30th December. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

James Slater will be stepping down as Chief Executive after being with the charity for 11 years, joining as Artistic Director in 2013, before taking on the leadership position in 2020.

James Slater said: “It has been an enormous privilege to be associated with Wiltshire Music Centre and to play a small part in its ongoing success. WMC is very special organisation with strong values and an excellent team, rooted in an extraordinarily supportive community. I could not have imagined how much I would learn here or how much the Centre would come to mean to me when I joined in 2013. I look forward to watching WMC continue to flourish in the future, and would like to thank all the staff, trustees, artists, volunteers, supporters and audiences who make it such a unique and wonderful place.”

James Wetz, the Chair of Wiltshire Music Centre’s Trustees said: “Since joining Wiltshire Music Centre in 2013 as Artistic Director, James has led on the curation of the artistic programme and overseen the growth and expansion of the Creative Learning & Community Engagement Programme. Becoming Chief Executive in 2020, he oversaw the building back of audiences and programming after the pandemic, and has recently supported the development of a new business plan and strategy that will hopefully secure the future of the Centre for many years to come. His contribution has been outstanding, his commitment generous. James leaves with our deep thanks and admiration.”

James will officially step down at the end of August 2024. Plans for new leadership will begin over the next few months.
