Northumbrian folk at its finest

Composer, performer, educator and respected exponent of the Northumbrian pipes, folk artist Kathryn Tickell tours with her four-piece band. Inspired by northern England, they explore the connecting threads of music, landscape, and people over a 2000-year period. Songs range from themes of freedom and nature to a Roman inscription with links to Libya and Syria, all magnetically pulled into the 21st century with glorious vocal harmonies, wild piping and clog dancing.
