Orkney-born folk quartet include Bradford on Avon in their 10th anniversary tour. Plus pre-show support in the bar by Canadian folk singer-songwriter, Luke Wallace

In honour of their 10th anniversary, this Orkney-born folk quartet are on a whistle-stop tour of the UK – including Bradford on Avon!  Presenting an evening of highlights from their three critically acclaimed albums, the group’s fiery fiddles, foot-stomping piano, and enchanting three-part vocal harmony will take you through the musical highs of their last decade.

FARA brings together four leading musicians at the forefront of today’s Scottish folk scene. Their repertoire of self-penned tunes, their original songs using words by Orcadian poets, alongside the four member’s diverse individual musical experiences, combine to produce an exciting and individual sound.

The band includes Kristan Harvey, who recently played at WMC with Blazin’ Fiddles!

PLUS!

Just added! Pre-show gig in the bar with Canadian folk singer-songwriter, Luke Wallace

Enjoy music in the bar before the show brought to you by Luke Wallace, a young singer-songwriter whom our programming team met at the recent English Folk Expo in Manchester.

Enthralled by his protest songs around the power of the community to combat climate change, the team were excited to  discover that Luke was coming to Bradford on Avon this week! He’d heard that one of his friends’ mums was in a choir singing one of his songs – Sons and Daughters – a piece of music encouraging families to immerse their kids in nature. It’s a song that’s travelled around the world, being sung by different choirs, including Bradford on Avon’s very own Songways Choir this Friday! We thought it was too good an opportunity not to ask Luke to come and play in our bar before FARA this Friday night, to share his talent with even more of the community. His words are too important not to be shared!

Pop in for free or see as part of your FARA ticket. Find out more about Luke here
