BERG Sieben frühe Lieder

Two distinguished artists from City Music Foundation’s 2022 cohort, Caroline Taylor (soprano) and Sebastian Issler (piano) reunite to present an enticing programme revolving around water and reflections.  The duo explores evocative natural scenes through the music of Schubert, Rachmaninov, Liszt and Clarke. The programme culminates in Berg’s iconic cycle Sieben frühe Lieder, reflecting a life lived in nature’s beauty and darkness.
