Join the My Science Fair Project Competition!
Choose from one of three topic areas, design your very own investigation with the help of our team of University of Bath Physics students, present your findings at My Science Fair 2024 and win exciting prizes!
Are you:
- aged 5-11?
- interested in science and the world around you?
Then come and be a part of the fun! If you have never made a project before at home, don’t worry – our team of scientists and WMC staff are ready to help you all the way through the process.
- Sign up to the Project Competition at the top of this page – places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
- Choose one of our three topic areas – find out more using the posters and videos below.
- Discuss your ideas with scientists at one of our My Science Fair Drop-In sessions – you can book which sessions you would like to attend in the registration form.
- Create your project
- Join us for My Science Fair 2024 to present your project to our team of friendly judges, join in activities and workshops and win exciting prizes!
Saturday 10th February, 10am – 12pm Drop-In Session 1 at Wiltshire Music Centre

Project Competition Topic Areas
In this year’s competition, you can choose from one of three topic areas to explore:
- Topic A: Stars
- Topic B: Light
- Topic C: Ocean Sounds
